At BarkHop Studio, we know that love comes in many forms — and sometimes, it has four paws, a wagging tail, and a habit of stealing your spot on the couch.

This Mother’s Day, we’re celebrating you — the dog moms, cat moms, bunny moms, bird moms, and all the amazing pet parents who show up every day with love, care, and dedication. You may not be packing lunchboxes or signing permission slips, but you're doing so much more. You're filling water bowls, throwing tennis balls 147 times in a row, scheduling vet visits, and giving the best belly rubs in the business.

You're up early for morning walks. You're up late comforting a nervous pup during a thunderstorm. You speak their language, you know their quirks, and you celebrate their every milestone — from “gotcha day” to birthdays to just-because cuddle sessions on the couch.

You’ve turned your home into a sanctuary for your animals. You’ve learned patience, practiced compassion, and probably cleaned up more fur than you ever imagined possible.

But most of all, you've given your heart — fully, joyfully, and unconditionally.

So today, we honor you. Whether your pup is snuggled next to you on the couch, romping in the backyard, or waiting for you at the rainbow bridge. Whether your pet has scales, feathers or fur — your love matters. You matter.

As you scroll through the photos included in this post, you’ll see just some of the incredible pet moms who’ve stepped in front of my lens. And while I wish I could include every single one of the inspiring women who’ve visited the studio, know that each of your stories is held with care and gratitude.

BarkHop Studio was built to celebrate the deep bond we share with our animals. While dogs may take up most of my camera roll, I look forward to having the honor of photographing cats and even a bearded dragon and a dove later this month. Every animal leaves a paw (or claw or feather) print on the hearts of the humans who love them.

That connection is something worth preserving. That’s why I do what I do — to create timeless portraits of your best friend. your soul dog. your fur kid. your shadow. Because these aren’t just photos. They’re your tangible memories of this time you have together. Aww, now I’m over here tearing up because I know that there is nothing quite like the love us pet moms have for our babies.
